Dual input channels Allows you to simultaneously read and source different parameters which is ideal for calibrating temperature transmitters. Both channels (CH1 and CH2) on the model MicroCal 20 XP can be set for simultaneous input. You can use the MicroCal 20 DPC calibrator as a two channel high accuracy thermometer for 14 Thermocouples types and 10 types of RTD's certification. 4-wire resistance thermometer Resistance and temperature with resistance thermometer may be measured on a 2, 3, and 4 wire connections for best accuracy and resolution (0.01°F). This process calibrator is compatible with pulsed transmitters. Rj compensation The MicroCal 20 DPC process calibrator has accurate and fast response compensation through a special low thermal capacity design of binding posts, which incorporates a thin film high accuracy Pt100 as cold junction reference. The internal reference allows the maximum accuracy for the 15 to +130°F temperature range. A remote Pt100 sensor can be connected for special application (from 15 to +212°F). It is possible to set manually the compensation temperature (from -60 to +212°F) by keyboard. Frequency - Counts The MicroCal 20 DPC process calibrator's simulation mode is designed to generate a zero-based square pulse, with an adjustable amplitude, at a frequency up to 20 KHz. A preset number of pulses may be programmed and transmitted to test or calibrate totalizers and counters. This calibrator can be configured to measure frequency and count pulse (totalizer mode). Technical units in Hz, pulse/h, and pulse/m. The threshold is adjustable from 0 to 20 V with 0.01 V resolution. Internal pressure sensors Optional one or two built-in pressure sensors are available for the MicroCal 20 DPC Plus and XP models pressure calibrator to cover main pressure application including gauge, differential, absolute, and vacuum. The calibration matrix pressure/temperature is stored in internal non-volatile memory.
